1 Timothy 6:10 — For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
I understand the need for money in order to survive and live. Every good gift comes from Me for I have given them to you. I care about you and your needs and I don’t withhold gifts from you. The problem is when you have a love for money, it’s where you’ve put the need to have more and more as a priority over Me. This love for more then has become an idol in your life. If you allow it to take root, this area of your life will grow and push Me out, causing you to wander and neglect your time with Me. Be mindful of this, it can creep up on you without your realizing it. Be humble and content with what I have provided for you. Don’t worry about your money, I have promised to take care of all your needs and to provide for you. Your primary focus needs to be putting Me first by spending quality time with Me. When you do, things never seem quite as bad as you originally felt.
