Matthew 5:7 — Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Showing mercy isn’t something that comes easily all the time. I know this is a difficult request to ask, especially because of your own imperfections; you’re quick to anger, you’re quick to lay blame, you’re quick with your cutting sarcasm and you’re slow to be kind, slow to forgive and even slower to forget… if ever. I understand your shortcomings, just as you can so easily see the shortcomings in those around you. Sometimes your anger is justified, but chances are your words are going to do more damage than they are good. Walk away before you speak something that you can’t take back. You are responsible for your words, actions and reactions. You are not to worry or be concerned about anyone else but yourself. My Word and instructions are clear, you are to love one another… and you can do this by showing mercy and offering forgiveness.
To whom much is given, much is also expected.
