Don’t Look Back

Looking back hinders you from your full potential, it causes your path to be crooked instead of the straight one that has been set before you.

Philippians 3:13-14
I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

It doesn’t do you any good to keep looking back. There are several problems with this. Looking back can cause you to get caught up in your old ways and sins that I have called you out of. Looking back can cause you to dwell on guilt and regret. Looking back hinders you from your full potential, it causes your path to be crooked instead of the straight one that has been set before you. Move forward, one step at a time, striving toward what is ahead of you. Keep your eyes focused on Me, that way you won’t deter from the road I have chosen for you and you won’t stray to the left or to the right. Press on toward the goal to win the prize for which I have called you. In this world you have only so many days, do not make your home here. Press on for I have called you heavenward, because I desire you to spend eternity with Me.
