… one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray…”
Time with Me in prayer nourishes your soul. It nourishes My life within you, it’s the main way to get to know Me and Our Father. Too often My children come to Me with a laundry list of requests and don’t take the time to hear what I am speaking to them… I want and desire your heart. When you come to Me because you lack the power and resources to handle something on your own, it’s noticeably different… your heart cries out to Me and I feel your pain. I want you to realize you need Me each day, but you get caught up in your self-sufficiency and this hurts our relationship. Prayer can change things but more importantly, it changes you. Don’t get caught up speaking the same things to Me each day, have a genuine conversation with Me and be prepared for Me to talk back with you. I am the gentle, soothing whisper you hear in the breeze.
