“And, if a man has committed a sin worthy of death, and he is put to death and [afterward] you hang him on a tree [as a public example], his body shall not hang all night on the tree, but you shall most certainly bury him on the same day (for he who is hanged is cursed by God), so that you do not defile your land which the Lord your God gives you as an inheritance.
They kept beating Him on the head with a reed and spitting on Him and kneeling and bowing in [mock] homage to Him. After they had mocked Him, they took off the purple robe and put His own clothes on Him. And they led Him out [of the city] to crucify Him.
I came to the earth in human form for a purpose. I willingly gave up My throne, I willingly became man knowing what I would go through and what I would have to endure. I made the choice to die on the cross at Calvary that day for you. I became cursed by My Father because of the great love I have for you… and I would choose to do it all again, just for you.
The worst part was when I took upon My shoulders all of the sins of the world; that was when Father had to turn away from Me, He could not bear to look at Me. The most painful part was being separated from Him. I chose to endure that suffering for your sake, because I wanted to give you the opportunity to never be separated from Father. I desire for you to understand the sacrifice that was made that day, and to understand that I want a relationship with you and for you to choose life with Me. I want you to spend each day learning and growing, feeling the love I have for you.
You don’t have to be separated from Me. I gladly bridged the gap while I hung on the tree that day long ago, so that you could step freely into constant fellowship with Me. So choose to do more than believe in Me, choose to walk hand in hand and step by step with Me each day. That day long ago when the nails pierced My hands and feet, and the spear struck My side… the day that Father turned His back on Me for just a moment… I endured all of it because I had you on My mind.
